The Board of Directors at WellWise Services Area Agency on Aging provides oversight and governance in upholding the mission of supporting older adults, adults with disabilities and their caregivers to live safely and independently.
The regular term for a Board Member is two years. The Board of Directors consists of people who have been appointed by County Commissioners.

The Board of Directors meets monthly during the 3rd full week of the month on Thursdays at 2:00pm.
Members receive a stipend for each meeting attended and are reimbursed for the cost of attending meetings, based on mileage.

Advisory Council
The Advisory Council reports to the Board of Directors and upholds the mission of supporting older adults, adults with disabilities and their caregivers to live safely and independently.
Duties of the Advisory Council include reviewing and commenting on the Area Implementation Plan, contributing to public hearings and forums on the needs of those in the region, reviewing and commenting on community policies, programs, and actions that affect those in the service area and researching and recommending additional resources.
The regular term for members is two fiscal years with the option of renewal. Members receive a stipend for each meeting attended and are reimbursed for the cost of attending meetings, based on mileage. The Council consists of up to twenty members, including eighteen county representatives.

The Advisory Council meets eight times per year during the 3rd full week of the month on Tuesdays at 10:00am.
