The Medicare Open Enrollment Period, often called the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP). is the time when individuals can change their Medicare Advantage and/or Medicare Part D plans. This is also the time to switch from Original Medicare to Medicare Advantage (or vice versa).
When is The Open Enrollment Period?
The open enrollment period extends from October 15 through December 7th. Coverage begins on January 1st the following year.

- Make sure your Medicare coverage best fits your needs.
- Switch from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan.
- Switch from a Medicare Advantage Plan to Original Medicare Plan.
- Join a new Medicare Part D Prescription Plan.
- Change your current Medicare Part D Prescription Plan.
